I have actually taken ZMA at several points and personally found that it helped my sleep considerably. I have tried with and without and found a direct difference. I have even tried taking only Magnesium (up to 400mg) alone and the effect is not the same. Will it work for you? that is something you will have to test and find out. ZMA works for some people and does not work for others. For some there is even an adverse reaction of night sweats and vivid bad dreams. I experienced none of that but your mileage may vary. There are may other supposed advantages, but when it comes to ZMA sleep is the only that I noticed a change in.
My advice would be to give it a try and see if it works for you.
