Paleo Smoothie Recipes

A quick smoothie is sometimes just what you need to prep up your day. Just remember that smoothies can contain a lot of hidden calories, such as carbs and high levels of Fat. I would recommend consuming such treats in moderation. As a rule I would most often reach for a Paleo smoothie if I have had a long work out, which means I could justify the extra calories.

When using frozen fruit, juices and canned coconut milk, I always check the labels to ensure that there aren’t any added sugars and preservatives. I prefer to use coconut milk for my smoothies, because where I live coconuts are freely available, but feel free to substitute with your preferred milk substitute.

The recipes I have included here are some of my favorites. I love to make these on a lazy Sunday and often replace them instead of reaching for dessert.
